The software has been created as common software for security hybrid platforms functioning concurrently with wireless and wired IP webcams, TV-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same look and functionality on the local and apart computers. Users watch MPEG coded picture and have complete control of the software through network that security station can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular configuration significantly increases reliability because all parts act as autonomous applications. If one module stops working, other modules go on running. For example if the `record` component fails, `watchdog` starts over it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` component. The software performs `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by movement, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance station as well as on remote computer through Web interface. The program does simultaneous video playback for event examination from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
