Handy Backup Network Server is one of the market most powerful yet cost-efficient software solutions for backing up business data in an enterprise network. The utility manages automatic backup of Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, IDM DB2, and any ODBC-compatible databases. The software automatically detects the target data and copies it to a storage place of user choice. Hot database backup is featured (backing up in a service interruption-free mode). Smart options like drag-and-drop interface along with command-line controls, are backup in Windows Service mode, zip compression, encryption, backup scheduling, and many others are presented. Commonly recognized for reliable performance of smart backup options, the product maintains operations as a Windows service (low memory consumption and backup even if no user is logged in), backup of locked files with VSS, without limitations on files amount and volume for one session, Unicode-enabled backup, support of long paths, compression, encryption with reliable Blowfish algorithm, and so on. Most of these options are based upon the leading technologies of today, such as CORBA, Rsync, FUSE, VSS, Naked objects, and others. The utility smoothly manages both the backup of casual files (docs, Outlook mail, system settings, etc.) and large data copying. The software solution is Unicode-enabled and supports long path and file names. The software backup functionality is optimal for Windows 7/Vista/2003/XP and 2008/2003 Server. However, the disk imaging option of creating bootable drives for disaster recovery is also available for Linux. The newly released version presents on-the-fly hot image backup functionality for taking entire drive or disk partition snapshots on-the-fly, with all app data synced properly.
