The software has been designed as universal product for security hybrid platforms functioning concurrently with wireless and wired IP webcams, TV-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the identical form and controls on the local and distant pcs. Customers see MPEG-4 coded video and have complete control of the software using network that surveillance computer can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular structure extensively improves reliability because all units act as independent programs. If one module fails, other parts keep on running. For example if the `record` unit freezes, `watchdog` starts again it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` module. The program does `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be activated by movement, human face recognition, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on distant pc using Web interface. The program makes synchronized video playback for event analysis from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
