The software has been created as general product for surveillance cross platforms working concurrently with wireless and wired Internet webcams, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the similar form and functionality on the local and distant workstations. Customers watch MPEG coded video and have complete control of the program via network that security computer can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular configuration extensively improves reliability because all units act as independent programs. If one unit stops working, other units keep on running. For example if the `record` unit fails, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video using a `playback` part. The software performs `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be turned on by activity, human face recognition, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance server as well as on apart station via Web interface. The software makes simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple webcams simultaneously. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
